-
1. Use Color-Safe Shampoo and Conditioner.
Visit my Amazon Storefront for my recommended color-safe Shampoo and Conditioner!
2. Limit Washing Frequently
I suggest washing hair 2-3 times a week to preserve color. Washing less frequently helps color last longer, plus it’s good for your scalp health!
3. Protect Hair From Heat
I recommend using a heat protectant before styling and keeping hot tools at a lower temperature. Visit my Amazon Storefront to see my favorite thermal protectants.
4. Avoid Sun Exposure
I suggest wearing hats or using UV protection sprays to prevent color from fading in the sun. I love Unite’s 7 Seconds Detangler because it has UV protection and leaves your hair soft and tangle-free!
5. Rinse With Cool Water
I strongly advise rinsing hair with cool water to help seal the cuticle and maintain vibrancy. Hot water opens the cuticle and will release color molecules… plus it’s good for your skin too!
6. Schedule Regular Touch-Ups
I encourage you to book your next color appointment before you leave my salon to maintain your look!
You don’t only have to come in when your roots grow… A quick toner can keep your color looking great, and can prolong the need to get a new set of highlights!
7. Avoid Chlorine and Saltwater
If you go swimming in the pool or ocean, protect your hair from chlorine and saltwater. Keep it cute and only get wet from the neck down! And if you must get your head in the water, use a leave-in spray before you go in the water. Saturating with a leave-in will give your hair a bit of a barrier from absorbing salt or chlorine. And thoroughly shampoo and condition right after your fun pool/beach moment!
-
1. Hair Condition: Arrive with clean, dry hair. Avoid using heavy conditioners or styling products. If your hair has build-up, wash and blow dry will be provided at an additional cost.
2. Length and Color Matching: Be prepared for a consultation to match your natural hair color and texture with the extensions.
3. Hair Prep: Do not apply any oils or heavy styling products before your appointment.
4. Maintenance: Be ready to discuss maintenance and aftercare routines to keep your extensions looking their best.
5. Time: Extension services can be time-consuming, so plan to be at the salon for several hours.
6. Cost of hair extensions: Dalina works with different hair extension companies and will assess the ideal company and method that is right for your hair type, lifestyle and budget. A deposit to purchase non-refundable hair is required to secure your hair appointment.

1. Washing: Use sulfate-free, shampoo and conditioners. Wash your hair no more than 2-3 times a week to prevent bond breakdown. Avoid applying conditioner near the bonds.
2. Drying: Gently squeeze out excess water with a towel. Blow dry your hair on a low heat setting. Avoid direct heat on the bonds to prevent them from softening.
3. Brushing: Use a soft-bristle brush or a wide-tooth comb to detangle your hair, starting from the ends and working your way up. Hold the bonds while brushing to avoid unnecessary tension.
4. Styling: When using heat styling tools, apply a thermal protectant. Avoid high heat settings near the bonds to maintain their integrity and avoid melting the bonds.
5. Sleeping: Braid your hair or tie it in a low loose ponytail to prevent tangling and stress on the bonds while you sleep. Use a silk or satin pillowcase to minimize friction.
Individual K-Tip Extensions last up to 4 months, depending on each client, so stay in touch with me to make sure your extensions are thriving!
-
1. Washing: Use a sulfate-free shampoo and avoid applying conditioner directly on the tape tabs. Wash your hair 2-3 times a week, keeping water cool or lukewarm.
2. Drying: Pat your hair dry with a towel, then blow-dry on a cool to medium heat setting. Focus on drying the tapes first to prevent them from loosening.
3. Brushing: Use a soft-bristle brush or a wide-tooth comb, starting at the ends and working your way up. Be gentle around the tape areas to avoid shifting them.
4. Styling: Apply a heat protectant before using any hot tools, and avoid excessive heat on the tape tabs. Opt for low to medium heat settings.
5. Sleeping: Braid or tie your hair in a loose ponytail before bed. Consider using a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction and keep your extensions smooth.
Tape-In Extensions require maintenance every 4-6 weeks.
-
1. Washing: Cleanse your hair with a sulfate-free shampoo. Focus on your scalp and rinse thoroughly. Follow up with a hydrating conditioner, but avoid the scalp to prevent product buildup.
2. Drying: Towel-dry your hair gently, then blow-dry on a medium heat setting. Make sure to fully dry the roots where the wefts are sewn in to avoid mold or mildew.
3. Brushing: Detangle your hair with a wide-tooth comb, working from the ends up to the roots. Be mindful of the wefts to prevent pulling or loosening.
4. Styling: Always use a heat protectant before styling, and avoid using high heat near the sewn-in areas. Low to medium heat settings are best.
5. Sleeping: Braid or twist your hair before going to bed. A silk or satin scarf or pillowcase can help reduce friction and prevent frizz.
Sewn-In Wefts require maintenance every 4-6 weeks.
